Green card - a mandatory insurance of civil liability of owners of vehicles in the member states of the international system "Green Card." Under this system the insurance companies from whom you can buy a policy a "green card" will offset the costs associated with injury to the vehicle, other property, life and health of third parties as a result of the accident. When leaving the vehicle into the countries that are members of the "Green Card", the owner is obliged to purchase a certificate from a single form (policy green card), ie movement without this policy on the territory of these countries is prohibited. Insurance amount (limit of liability - Olsztyn OC) under a contract of insurance "Green Card" are set in accordance with the laws of the country in which made the accident. The cost of "green card" depends on the type of vehicle, the term of the contract and the country you are visiting. The member countries of the "Green Card": Albania, Andorra, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Iran, Ireland, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia. In the insurance case the insured event must certify in local government (traffic police, customs) and sign the papers! The second segment of the "green card" should be given to the victim. Insured must promptly inform the insurance company about the incident case and provide supporting documents immediately upon returning home.
