How to Copy Files From iPod to iPod or iPhone

Copying your iPod library files - your music, your video, your ringtones - to a new iPod appears like an understandable thing that men and women might want to do. Change your iPod to a newer, fancier model as an illustration. Share personal videos with friends (nah, we are not gonna talk about illegally sharing music, now shall we be?). Give your little sister have some of the cool new tunes you've added to your iTunes library because you gave her your old iPod. No brainers, right?

Apple, unfortunately, decided that ITunes should not be capable to help iPod owners make this happen, no matter how legitimate the demand or use. Their logic is apparently to prevent illegal file sharing...which is a worthy cause, naturally.

Sadly, though, that means that anyone doing legitimate filesharing - and there's a plethora than it occurring - get punished. It's a 'guilty until proven innocent' approach.

Well, thank heavens for Vacation vendors.

The cream in the crop will be the IPod 2 iPod transfer utility, developed by The Boys DownUnder, a whole new Zealand firm, allows you to copy your files in one iPod to a new via your local computer or even across a network. It is remarkably easy to use.

It is possible to drag and drop Songs, Playlists or Videos between iPods. You will find duplicate songs and delete the darn things, saving valuable space for additional music!

You can even sort your songs by artist, genre, albums and all sorts of other activities you need to sort by...so that, say, you need to share the tracks made by your favorite local garage band (the main one where you stand the drummer), you do not have to go wandering around your iPod to try to find them and transfer them.

Ah...but what if you dont possess a computer and would like to transfer files anyway? Well, give the Hitch iPod2iPod USB Transfer Device a peek. With this particular cool tool you can link two iPods - or any other USB enabled storage devices - and instantly transfer music, videos and other data involving the two. You may attach your iPod in your digicam or maybe your memory stick, for instance, and directly move picture from iphone. The downside of Hitch - and it's also a large one - could it be is only for Windows-configured iPods. In the event that's no option, then iPod2iPod...or even the old 'transfer to iTunes - synch towards the new iPod' may be the strategy to use.
